Kauger Arms actions are made to be as accurate and smooth as possible. The bolt utilizes a gas shield for safety and also gives the bolt more surface which makes it extremely smooth. The bore and face are machined in one operation and are perfectly true to one another, so there is no need for refacing by a gun smith. Threaded for 1 1/16" - 16 barrel.

Elite Short Action .308
This Elite action is the smoothest ever. The chainlink cut into the bolt is really nice. Kauger gave my gunsmith the code so he could bead blast the stainless on my barrel to match the action color. We installed a bartlein carbon barrel in the 7mm-08 cartridge. Needs to be a 15 star. Within the first 20 reloads, we landed 4 shot group inside 3 inches at 500 yds (2 different shooters). If you are interested in a custom action, I highly recommend the Kauger Elite action.
